Jekyll, YAML, and me

I spent roughly three hours converting the site from the static html
template I had for years into the jekyll templating
engine. This allows me to incorporate my posts into the general look and
feel of this site. I also swapped the html template to something that is
simply css and fluid layout. This allows you to see the content roughly
the same regardless of your screen resolution.

Overall, converting from static html to
markdown allows me to
write as I normally do. Jekyll automatically converts from the markdown
format into valid html. I've been using markdown for a few years now for
lots of writing and personal reasons. It's nice to be able to use it to
write the website content as well.

So far, so good.
